Godolphin Not Sure About Run In The Melbourne Cup

Antiquarium’s Emirates Melbourne Cup fate will be decided at his next run according to Godolphin’s chief executive John Ferguson.

Sydney-based jockey James McDonald steered Antiquarium to victory in the Northumberland Plate (3200m) at Newcastle in England over the weekend, his first victory in the Godolphin blue during the English summer.

“Antiquarium won the Plate, running off a mark of 99, and he will obviously go up in the handicap,” Ferguson said.
