Japanese Stayer Fame Game Joins Frame For Great Race

LOCAL punters have rallied to Japanese stayer Fame Game, backing him into favouritism for the Melbourne Cup after it was announced on Thursday he would make the trip.

“The money started coming for Fame Game as soon as Leigh Jordon confirmed he was making the trip to Melbourne,” TAB’s Adam Hamilton said.

“Our TAB bookies had him $18 and equal second favourite but, after standing him to lose more than $25,000, we cut him to $16. The money didn’t stop there. We’ve shortened him to $14 and he’s now replaced Hartnell as the outright Melbourne Cup favourite.” Full Story…
